EuroMillions is a European lottery that takes place on Tuesday and Friday evenings. Whereas most national lotteries are generally based from one particular country, the EuroMillions lottery is transnational so it pools the stakes from a number of countries to create huge jackpots and prizes. As the main prize pool can roll over to the following draw, the top prize can be as high as €190 million if no one wins the jackpot.
The first EuroMillions lottery draw took place on Friday 13th February 2004. The draws are held every Tuesday and Friday night at 20:45 CET time in Paris. The results and prize breakdown are published shortly after the draw, around 23:00 CET. All prizes, including the jackpot, are paid Tax Free.
Match 5 main numbers and 2 Lucky Stars to win the jackpot. If there's more than one jackpot winner, the prize will be shared between all the jackpot winners.

There are 13 prize tiers offered for each draw. The estimated jackpot is published prior to the draw. The exact prize value of each tier, including the jackpot, is calculated according to the number of tickets sold in a particular draw and the number of winning tickets per prize tier. The prize tier breakdown and an estimate prize amount are shown in the table below:
The value of your prize will depend on the number of tickets sold, the number of entries that match the same numbers as you, and currency exchange rates. If there are no winners in a Prize category (except the Jackpot category), the prize money allocated to that Prize category will be added to the next lower Prize category where there is at least one winner. If there are no winners in any Prize category in a EuroMillions Draw, the money will be added to the Jackpot Prize Fund for the next EuroMillions Draw.
The EuroMillions Jackpot is not allowed to exceed €190 million. If the Jackpot for any EuroMillions Draw reaches this cap, the Jackpot will stay at this amount. Any prize money that would have increased the Jackpot above the level of the jackpot cap will roll down to the next prize category in that EuroMillions Draw where there is at least one winner, thereby increasing prizes in that lower Prize tier.
