Unlike the US Powerball jackpot, which is advertised as a pre-tax amount in US dollars, the UK Powerball jackpot is advertised as an estimated post-tax value in pounds sterling. The advertised UK jackpot reflects the applicable UK tax treatment of the 30-year payout structure.
UK Powerball has its own prize structure. While the jackpot is shared with the US Powerball, all lower-tier prizes follow the UK Powerball rules and may differ from US Powerball prize amounts. UK Powerball also includes a Match 2 prize category, which is not available in the US version, offering a fixed prize of £8 for players who match 2 numbers.
What Happens Next
